Experience Types
We classify experiences into two categories based on the financial commitment required from suppliers:
- High-Commitment Experiences (e.g. International or Premium Trips)
Pre-booked flights or hotel stays, non-refundable deposits, high operational costs. Labeled as "High-Commitment" on the platform.
- Standard Local Experiences
Fewer upfront costs, local or shorter-term. Labeled as "Standard" experiences.
Cancellation Rules by Experience Type
A. High-Commitment Experiences
To help suppliers cover upfront costs, refunds are time-based:

B. Standard Local Experiences
Experiences that require less intensive preparation allow for greater flexibility in traveler cancellations and modifications:

Modifications & Supplier Cancellations
- You can request changes (e.g. rescheduling) via Manage My Bookings before the refund window closes. Changes are subject to supplier approval and may incur a fee.
- If a supplier cancels or makes a major change (e.g. date or location) you will be notified and can choose a full refund or reschedule.
All-Sales-Final Experiences
Some exclusive or discounted trips, marked “All Sales Final” are not eligible for cancellation or refund. This is always clearly stated before booking.
No-Show Policy
Missing your experience without canceling will be marked as a no-show and is not eligible for refund. Suppliers may offer alternatives at their discretion, but Traaple is not obligated to reschedule or reimburse.
Refund Timelines
- Refunds take 3–10 business days to reflect, depending on your payment method.
- All refund requests must be submitted via your Traaple account.
- Refunds are calculated from the time of cancellation request based on the local time zone of the experience.
Important Notes
- While Traaple provides a platform-wide cancellation structure, each experience may have its own specific cancellation terms set by the supplier. Always check the experience’s individual policy before booking.
- We encourage all travelers to purchase insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations or delays.
